To call today’s housing market a “buyers market” is only partially accurate. Home buyers have a huge inventory to choose from, but qualifying for a home loan has never been more difficult. So it is technically a “buyers market”, there just aren’t very many buyers who can actually get a home.
Given the large selection and limited number of buyers, it’s impossible to overestimate the importance of making your house show well. This means that every corner of the house must be cleaned, dusted and ready for inspection. On the outside of the house, shrubs should be trimmed, children’s toys put away and unsightly wooden fences repaired or replaced.
These small touches don’t have to be elaborate or expensive, but they do make a big difference. For many potential home owners, those little touches like low maintenance vinyl fencing make your home much more attractive to would be buyers.
